A charming semi-detached bay fronted house constructed in the 1930s period and having been occupied by the current owner since 1952.

The property appears to have been well maintained over the years and has had various modernisations but would now benefit from some further mild updating and has therefore been priced accordingly.

Mill Lane is an established street of mainly older properties set in a popular suburb to the east of Reading. There are good schools in the area and it lies within the traditional catchment of Maiden Erlegh Secondary School and the catchment of Loddon Primary School.

There are local shops nearby with more extensive facilities at the Asda and Marks & Spencers complexes in Lower Earley, or Woodley Precinct.

Bus services in the area provide access passed the University and Royal Berkshire Hospital into Reading town centre where there is a wide range of retail and leisure facilities. There is also a mainline railway station with fast services to Paddington and services to Waterloo which run through the nearby Earley and Winnersh Triangle railway stations. The new Crossrail link is scheduled to open in Reading in 2019.

The M4 motorway can be joined either at Junction 11, where there is also the A33 south towards Basingstoke, or at Junction 10 where London then lies about 40 miles away and Heathrow Airport about 28 miles away.
